A 2-year-old kid who was last seen playing in a yard the previous day was being sought by Oregon authorities on Sunday. According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Dane Paulsen was reported missing at approximately 4:25 p.m. on Saturday. According to a social media statement from the sheriff’s office, police, fire, and sheriff’s office personnel conducted a foot search as well as a drone search using thermal imaging equipment on Saturday throughout the property and its environs. According to the sheriff’s office, search and rescue crews used drones, dogs, and watercraft to perform systematic searches of a region north of the small city of Siletz, close to the Siletz River, on Sunday. Those who wished to assist were asked to avoid the main search area.
According to the sheriff’s office, a gold station wagon from the late 1990s that was spotted close to the residence where Dane was last seen is a “vehicle of interest” in the investigation. Sheriff Adam Shanks, however, told KATU-TV that there is no proof that the car had anything to do with Dane’s disappearance.
